On July 16, 2017, at approximately 1:15 a.m., officers with the Hot Springs Police Department responded to multiple 911 calls, reporting shots fired outside of Boot Scooters, located at 421 Broadway. Upon arrival, officers found Timothy Martin, age 37, deceased inside a 2007 Infinity G35. Mr. Martin’s vehicle was parked on the side of Broadway Street across from Boot Scooters. At the time of the shooting, Boot Scooters was open for business.
HSPD detectives are continuing their investigation, conducting follow-ups and interviews. This homicide does not appear to be random and it is believed Mr. Martin was individually targeted.

On July 8, 2017 at approximately 9:00 p.m., Hot Springs Police responded to the area of Hobson and Second Streets in reference to a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located Darryl Lavell Williams, 23, of Hot Springs. Mr. Williams was found on the sidewalk near the intersection of Hobson and Second Street. Mr. Williams had visible gunshot wounds to his upper left arm and upper left torso. Responding officer’s rendered aid to Mr. Williams until LifeNet arrived. Mr. Williams was transported to St. Vincent hospital where he underwent surgery and is currently listed in stable condition.
Detectives with the Hot Springs Police Department continue to investigate this case and follow-up leads. No suspect(s) have been identified and no arrests have been made at this time.
