Aggravated Robbery
On February 12, 2018 at approximately 12:27 pm, two suspects robbed the two owners of the Valero, located at 3228 Central Avenue. The owners had just exited the Valero with the stores deposits. The suspects, who were armed with handguns approached the owners and forcibly took an undisclosed amount of cash from them.
HSPD Officer Richard Nunez was patrolling in the area of Central and Crawford and heard one of the victims scream. Officer Nunez then saw a GMC Acadia fleeing the area. Officer Nunez began to pursue the GMC Acadia and observed it stop between Pro Signs and Graphics (110 Crawford Drive) and Colton’s Steak House (120 Crawford Drive). As Officer Nunez pulled behind the GMC Acadia, he saw one suspect fleeing on foot.
Multiple HSPD officers responded to the area and set up a perimeter. One person, who matched the suspect description was located in the area. That person was detained, but is not being named at this time.

Press Release Arrest in Mt. Pine

On Tuesday 01/31/2017 at approximately 1330 hours the Garland County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division and Tactical Response Team (TRT), the 18th East Judicial Drug Task Force, Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco & Firearms (ATF), and Homeland Security served a search warrant at the Mountain Pine Corner Store 2702 Mt. Pine Road. The owner/operator of the store 25 year old Sunny Singh, was taken into custody without incident on warrants for Aggravated Robbery and Residential Burglary which originated from GCSO CID. The search warrant for the store originated from the 18th East Judicial DTF and was based off illegal sales of narcotics.

Mr. Singh’s residence at 183 Loblolly in Mountain Pine, Arkansas was also searched. Mr. Singh is currently being held at the Garland County Detention Center for Residential Burglary (Class B Felony), Aggravated Robbery (Class Y Felony), Simultaneous Possession of Drugs and Firearms (Class Y Felony), Unauthorized Use of another person’s property to facilitate a crime (Class B Felony), and hold for other agency (Immigration Customs Enforcement) on a $0 bond.
